The Rights Layer for Generative Media

Real people. Written permissions. Studio licensing follows the model's recorded consent; booked campaigns follow their signed campaign scope and approval process.

How we're built

How the system protects both sides.

Consent-first

Real people, with written agreements. Active consent is required for new generation and licensing. Licences validly granted before withdrawal continue for their agreed term.

Agreed approval scope

Studio licensing requires individual approval or recorded standing consent covering the digital use. Studio print and out-of-home follow the model's own setting: on demand inside her rules, or individual approval. Campaign productions follow the scope and approval process in their separate signed agreement.

Commercial rights, clearly scoped

Your licence records the format, duration and territory. Standard checkout is non-exclusive; exclusivity requires a separate agreement. The model keeps their underlying likeness rights.

Compliance support

Consent, approval and licence records support your review. Public licence verification is available; embedded Content Credentials are in progress. Brands remain responsible for campaign-specific advertising and disclosure obligations.

For IP owners

Your property. Agreed permissions.

Character and franchise projects start with a property-specific review. Approved references, creative restrictions, territories, permitted uses, review requirements and revenue terms are agreed before activation. An enquiry or uploaded concept is not a grant of commercial or training rights.

For models

What you keep.

  • Sign in writing before your AI likeness is created, never scraped, never assumed.
  • In Studio, approval is individual or covered by your recorded standing consent. Print and out-of-home follow your own setting: on demand inside your rules, or individual approval. Booked campaigns follow their separate agreement.
  • See, in plain terms, who licensed what, for what use, for how long.
  • Platform earnings are tracked in your account. Payouts may be held until Stripe onboarding is complete; separately negotiated campaigns follow their agreed payment terms.
  • Set regional restrictions if you're signed to an agency in a specific market.
  • Revoke your consent and stop new generations on 72 hours' notice, licences already paid remain valid for the term purchased.

For brands

What you get.

  • A commercial licence for each approved image you purchase, with format, duration and territory recorded. Exclusivity is separately agreed, not included in standard checkout.
  • Commercial usage rights to the licensed image within the scope of your licence, no Mirai watermark, no further approvals needed for the agreed uses.
  • Records of model consent, asset approval and purchased licence scope. Any indemnity must be in your executed agreement; it is not implied here.
  • Mirai does not use your brand uploads to train generic AI models. Generation and storage providers process the files needed to deliver the service.
  • Snapshot of your brand identity (company name, social handles, website) attached to every licence so models always see who they're approving for.

Questions

Plain answers.

Are Mirai models real people?

Yes. The public roster consists of real people with written agreements. Studio reference photos anchor their likeness during generation; outputs are AI-generated, not physical photoshoots.

What rights do I get when I license an image?

Commercial usage rights within the recorded format, duration and territory. Standard licences are non-exclusive. Category exclusivity needs a separate agreement; the model retains their underlying likeness rights.

Can a model retroactively withdraw consent?

A model can request that their AI likeness be retired at any time, on 72 hours' written notice. After that window, no new licences can be issued and their likeness stops appearing on the roster. Licences already paid remain valid for the duration purchased, brands aren't exposed mid-campaign. The legal mechanic is in the Model Release and our Terms.

Do you train AI on my brand uploads?

Mirai does not use brand uploads or outputs to train a general model or sell them as a training dataset. Generation and storage providers process the files needed to deliver the service. See our Privacy Policy for processing details; separately authorised partner access must follow the agreed consent and data-use terms.

Can I use a Mirai image as input to ChatGPT or Midjourney?

A standard image licence does not authorise uploading the talent's likeness into another generator. An approved partner integration requires separate permission and must follow the agreed renderer, data-use and licensing terms. Ask Mirai before using a licensed image as an external generation reference.

What if I'm a brand based in a region a model is restricted from?

Some models have regional agency restrictions. We check your brand's country at licence purchase and block conflicts. Ask Mirai to confirm availability before developing a campaign in a restricted market.

How do you handle GDPR / CCPA / EU AI Act?

Mirai records consent and licence information and accepts data-access and deletion requests. This supports review but is not a certification of compliance. Public licence verification is available; embedded Content Credentials are still in progress. Brands remain responsible for the disclosures and advertising rules applying to their published campaign. See the regulatory summaries and governing documents for the current position.
